Lucknow and Varanasi get Globus

Globus, the one stop shop for fashionable ready-to-wear apparel for the youth, has opened its latest outlets at Lucknow and Varanasi. The new outlets are an abode to denims, casuals, smart formals, ladies Indian wear & accessories from the Globus & F21 stable. The audio-visual equipment, used inside the store, is superlative, accompanied with the most modern state-of -the -art lighting. Mr. Vinay Nadkarni, CEO, Globus Stores,  says: “UP is special to us, as this will be our fourth store in the state following the two at Ghaziabad, and the one in Kanpur. Indigo Consulting to develop IGDS’s new portal

The International Group of Department Stores (IGDS), a leading association of department stores worldwide has appointed Indigo Consulting to create and manage their new web platform. The proposed website, which is to be launched in Jan 2007, will feature tools for networking, collaboration and information exchange as well as a member directory. With this portal, IGDS aims to extend its services and provide the right tools to foster the community, provide a meeting platform for its members, and explore and support synergies between them. According to Werner Studer, Executive Director, IGDS, "Indigo Consulting understands our business and has helped design a solution that would meet our needs. We look forward to launching the new IGDS website design by them.”

Ritu Wears opens Delhi's biggest fashion family store

Ritu Wears, Delhi's biggest family fashion store  is being opened at Vikas Surya Shopping Mall, Mangalam Place, Rohini, Sec-3,  with four floors of shopping experience for  the people of West Delhi. The boutique houses some of the most exotic and exquisite flowers from across the world.

Woodland goes into expansion mode

Indian footwear brand Woodland would be setting on a major expansion plan that would include doubling production capacity and setting up 60-70 new retail stores in the next two years. The company would be investing about Rs. 10 crores to set up three new facilities in Uttaranchal to cater to the increased demand. With the setting of the new units which would be functional by 2007 end, the production capacity of Woodland would go up from 6,000 pairs of shoes to 10,000 to 12,000 pairs. The company also plans to open 60-70 new retail stores by 2008 which would come up in metros and tier-1 cities and would take the total number of exclusive stores to 195.
